Development of NJM & Co

1999 Nicolette opted to learn financial accounting, beginning at bookkeeping. During her instructional period Nicolette was identified as a leader within the field and offered a teaching role within TAFE college. Nicolette instructed bookkeeping, MYOB and the office administration finance stream. She wrote competency based training manuals, constructed MYOB accounting manuals and became departmental finance supervisor.

Nicolette formed her own business in 2000 as a sole trader called Small Operating Solutions (SOS). She began taking on select clientele as well as continuing her teaching. Nicolette's passion was to run her own business and not simply instruct others.

2003 after leaving teaching to further develop her own business goals, Nicolette formed her company NJM & Co Financial Solutions Pty Ltd. Nicolette's company worked solely on referral business (word of mouth) from existing clientele and key accounting firms.

A bookkeeper is only as good as their personal ethos towards financial education. Knowing software alone does not make a bookkeeper.

NJM & Co have managed to grow to a medium business within this capacity, though Nicolette's goals have recently changed with a desire to expand her company. NJM & Co currently employ select bookkeepers with only further growth foreseen. Nicolette's personal goals are to further her business strategy and opportunities within the Melbourne district.

NJM & Co's client portfolio now include some of Melbourne's leading accounting and financial firms. All bookkeepers employed by NJM & Co are further trained and monitored by Nicolette. Education, experience and commonsense is the key combination to effective client solutions; NJM & Co work by this ethos which continues to excel the company on a firm footing into 2008.
